Structure of the Event
The contents of the half-day workshop are as follows:
- The conceptual background to Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and the need for it in the Development Programmes (Justification). What is Monitoring and what are Evaluation and the conceptual complementarities between the two? How Development Programs benefit with the use of M&E?
- The importance of a participatory process in M&E: Identify the different partners to be involved. Understand the need for a process which involves all partners concerned. At what stage the different partners play their role?
- The need for specific methods and tools to enable a participatory process. (Basic Understanding of available Methods and tools)

Bursaries for Young & Emerging Evaluators (YEE)
- Bursaries will be available for YEEs to participate in this training workshop as well as in the entire Conclave.
- Bursary applications will be opened up soon.
The criteria for selection of participants are as used by EvalYouth are given below:
- Evaluators less than 35 years (as at 1 August 2022), OR
- Evaluators who have less than 5 years of professional experience, OR
- Recent University graduates who are interested to join the evaluation profession, OR
- Development professionals who have technical knowledge on evaluation and willing to become professional evaluators.
Note:
- Bursary holders will have tea, lunch and opportunity to take part in panel discussion and paper presentations.
- All the participants will be provided workshop materials and book/reading materials by international organizations including IDRC, Canada.
Upon successful completion all the participants will be awarded certificate of attendance and networking opportunity to work with EvalYouthBangladesh and global eval youth community

Mahsin Hamuda is a development Program Specialist (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning & knowledge management) with extensive experience supporting initiatives of international organizations, Government, NGOs and CBOs including project preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Particular expertise in program development and senior management expertise assuring high quality in all stages of the project cycle: that is from new project design, implementation, budget, and operational management and close out based on respective donor guidelines and regulations offering 15+years of progressive leadership skill. She is well recognized resource person among the M&E practitioners in Bangladesh. She has widely contributed in M&E training program for Bangladesh Evaluation Society, Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF), National Academy for Planning and Development and Bangladesh Scouts. Currently she is working as a Program Officer at International Labor Organization in Dhaka
About Conclave Director

Md. Nuruzzaman, Ph.D.

Dr Md. Nuruzzaman is holding A doctoral degree in Economics from the Department of Economics, University of Dhaka and having 30 years of Capacity Building and M&E experience at home and abroad. He served various national training and research institutes including Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD), National Institute of Local Government (NILG), Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy as a faculty and consultant. He is the Current and Founding President of Bangladesh Evaluation Society. He is the founding and current President of Bangladesh Evaluation Society. He is actively contributing in various regional and international evaluation forums.
